DAILY MEASURES TO PREVENT MEMORY LOSS

  • Some form of physical activity/exercise each and every day

 

  • Intake of healthy fats, especially DHA (omega 3)

 

  •  Vitamin E in your diet

 

  •  Limit intake of sugar and fructose

 

  • Eat blueberries

 

  • Lots of vegetables of all colors daily

 

  • Folate (avocados, leafy greens); vitamin B 12 (eggs; liver)

 

  • Improve magnesium levels (avocados, nuts)

 

  • Optimize vitamin D levels – sunlight

 

  • Improve gut flora

 

  • Enough sleep – 7 to 8 hours per night

 

  • Enjoy mental stimulation daily (“use it or lose it”)

 

  • Count your blessings and take time out each day to see, hear, smell, taste, and feel
